Exeter University

Exeter University is located in the Devonshire city of Exeter where it is the main institute of higher education. Exeter University is generally held in quite high regard nationwide and it frequently places highly in newspapers lists of the top universities in Britain. There are currently around 15,000 students attending Exeter University, 10,000 of which are undergraduates.

Exeter University is a relatively new university having only attained its university status in the mid nineteen fifties. However, despite it only becoming a university comparatively recently Exeter University has built itself an excellent reputation and is going from strength to strength. There has been a record number in the increasing of undergraduate student applications to study at Exeter University in recent years. The main campus at Exeter University is universally recognised as one of its best features and this attractive campus is one of the reasons why people choose to study at Exeter University.

The Student’s union at Exeter University is known as the ‘Student’s Guild’ and it is recognised as being one of the country’s best student unions. The University of Exeter also has several off site campus away from the main campus in Exeter, including one located in nearby Cornwall. There is an institute for Cornish studies located on Exeter University’s Cornwall campus.

There have been a number of notable alumni who have graduate from Exeter University, including the author of the best selling Harry Potter books J.K Rowling. A number of well known TV personalities, musicians and politicians have also graduated from Exeter University.
