Exeter University Officer Training

The Exeter University Officer Training Corps is an organisation based in the Devonshire city of Exeter and is strongly affiliated with the University of Exeter. Many of the students who attend this university who are interested in pursuing a career in the military will become involved with the Exeter University Officer Training corps. 

The Exeter University Officer Training corps also serves other educational institutes in the area, notably the University of Plymouth and several local sixth form colleges.  People who become involved with the Exeter University officer training corps can expect to experience a variety of different activities and master a number of skills. Some of the activities the OTC’s members participate in include orienteering, shooting, sailing and a variety of other adventurous activities. One of the main appeals of the Exeter University Officer Training corps is that whilst students will be given an opportunity to experience a variety of different activities they will also be getting paid for their time.

The Exeter University officer training corps also organises a variety of sporting activities and competitions for its members to enjoy. The OTC’s sports teams will often be involved in tournaments and competitions with other university’s and their own OTCs.

Many people who become involved in the Exeter University Officer Training corps are working towards a career in the military. The experience they have garnered from the OTC will always be considered when they are applying for a position in the forces .
